How Plasmacluster technology works

All three models have a technology only found in the Sharp fridge freezer range – an innovative Plasmacluster ionisation system to eliminate the build up of mould spores and bacteria.

Sharp’s use of unique Plasmacluster technology inside its fridge freezer range actually attacks contaminants to help reduce and even prevent odour build-up.

How does it work? An integral ion generator separates water molecules drawn in from the surrounding air to create both positive hydrogen and negative oxygen ions.

These colliding ions are released into the fridge freezer atmosphere and become stable by clinging onto the odour-causing molecules in the air, forming clusters.

The positive and negative ion clusters are transformed into Hydroxyl (OH) groups, which deactivate and deodorise airborne particles – a revolutionary anti-bacterial solution in food storage.
 





The Plasmacluster technology combined with the special built-in Nano filter deactivates and deodorises any contaminants that might be present.

The result is a reduction in the build up of bacteria, as well as the elimination of strong odours from foods such as cheese and fish.

So, you can always be sure of longer-lasting freshness.
